Anti-Vaping Campaign

Blue background with vape graphic, smoke has a skull inside. Red letters: No. White puffs of smoke, AMDSB logoDid you know that more Huron Perth youth are vaping compared to the provincial average? Even if they’re in elementary school, there’s a good chance kids have been exposed to vaping (e-cigarettes) either at school, through friends, on social media, TV or in the movies.

In partnership with Huron Perth Public Health, AMDSB is also launching an anti-vaping campaign featuring initiatives for AMDSB staff (Professional Development training), students (poster campaigns, staff support initiative), and parents/guardians that aims to:

  1. Raise awareness about the risks of vaping:
  2. Equip parents/guardians with strategies on how to discuss the issue with their children and youth
  3. Provide resources and support for helping youth quit
    • Learn about the Quash App and get ideas on how to start the conversation and help your child quit
    • Consider the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health’s program called Youth-VAST to help your child quit
