Elementary Teacher Alternative Instruction - Listowel District Secondary School (Long-Term Assignment, 0.50 FTE)
The Avon Maitland District School Board is accepting applications for a long-term occasional teaching assignment working with a Gr. 8 student (1:1) with learning needs. This position will work out of Listowel District Secondary School. The teacher will be responsible for supporting the transition of the student into a school-based setting while meeting the requirements under Regulation 298: Operation of Schools. The successful candidate will have support from the Learning Services department to build the appropriate programming and assessments for this

Required Qualifications
- Must hold the required divisional qualifications, as noted above, to be eligible for this position;
- Membership with the Ontario College of Teachers in good standing or have their transitional certificate from Ontario College of Teachers;
- Demonstrated experience in the assigned duties of a teacher as outlined in Regulation 298: Operation of Schools;
- Proven ability to maintain discipline in the classroom (classroom management);
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment;
- Experience working with G-Suite (Gmail, Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) products;
