Criteria for Inclusion on this Page

Materials for distribution must:

Comply with all AMDSB policies and procedures. For full details about the distribution of materials from outside organizations, please see AP 116 (Distribution of Materials from Outside Organizations).
Comply with the Ontario Human Rights Code (be respectful of all faiths, races and ethnic backgrounds).
Be of educational or cultural benefit to students, support curriculum or extra-curricular activities for students.
Be received electronically (submissions can be made to [email protected]).
Be as accessible as possible to comply with AODA requirements.

Preference will be given to materials from non-profit, charitable organizations in Huron and Perth Counties.

Activities and Camps (Summer, PA Day) for Students

NextStrat - A free after-school and weekend youth space is opening on the second floor of the Agriplex (353 McCarthy Rd, Stratford). Open weekdays from 3–9 PM and on weekends, this new space will feature a fully equipped esports lounge with 20 gaming PCs and Nintendo Switch consoles.

Extracurricular Activities

MA-X Training - Martial Arts Cross-Training for Teens and Adults will run from October 7 to November 25 at the Steve Kerr Memorial Complex in Listowel. This program is designed for participants ages 13 and up, with beginner to intermediate experience levels. The cost is $100.

Martial Arts X-Training - This exciting 8-week martial arts cross-training program will run from October 7 to November 25 at the Steve Kerr Memorial Complex in Listowel. It is designed for ages 8-12, with beginner experience levels. The cost is $100.

North Perth Girls Volleyball - Runs from October 20, 2026, to March 9, 2027, with two age categories: Ages 11-13 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and Ages 14-16 from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Minor Basketball - Runs from mid-October to mid-March and offers three age categories: Grade 1-2, Grade 3-5, and Grade 6-8.

Grade 5 In-Motion Pass - The Municipality of North Perth is offering all Grade 5 students in North Perth a free In-Motion pass for the 2026-2027 school year. The pass provides free admission to public skating at the Elma Logan Rec. Complex, Wallace Community Centre and Steve Kerr Memorial Complex; public swims at Listowel Kinsmen Pool and Atwood Lions Pool; and golf at Listowel Golf Club for the month of May (paid adult accompaniment required).

Tri-Edge Skating Club - This not-for-profit skating organization is offering lessons for skaters of all ages and skill levels in Milverton, Wellesley, and Monkton. Programs include PreCanSkate for ages 3–5, CanSkate for ages 5+, StarSkate for those interested in learning figure skating, and RisingStars for all ages, including skaters transitioning from CanSkate and adults who would like to learn to skate.

Youth Badminton (Free) - Drop in Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30PM at the Listowel District Secondary School. Ages 13-17.

Free Virtual Tutoring & Homework Help - Parents of Black Children is offering free 25-minute drop-in sessions inside the Omo Africentric Virtual Campus (“The O”), Monday–Thursday, 4:00–7:00 pm. (Mon & Wed: Grades K–12, all subjects and Tue & Thu: Grades K–8, all subjects). Supportive, affirming academic help for students in all subjects.

Online Tutoring - llluminEd Tutoring Inc. provides personalized, 100% online tutoring for elementary and secondary students, offering flexible support to accommodate busy family schedules.

Brainworx - Focused on developing literacy and social-emotional learning skills, this free program is for students in Grades 1–6 who are seeking additional literacy support. The program runs twice a week for 30 minutes per session from October to May.

Junior Coach Leadership Development - This free program helps students in Grades 7 and 8 develop leadership skills while promoting physical activity and literacy. The program takes place Mondays at 4:30 pm, from October to May.

Employment Services at the West Perth Public Library - Visit the library on the last Thursday of the month from 1:00 - 4:30 pm to get resume writing assistance, support for retraining, career coaching, and more.

Ontario Register or Future Voters - Maintained by Elections Canada, the Ontario Register of Future Voters is designed for eligible 16 and 17 year olds so that they will automatically be added to the voters list when they turn 18.
